RSC Endorsement: U.S. Senate Arkansas

This is my first endorsement of the 2010 campaign. The U.S. Senate race in Arkansas is heating up and Blanche Lincoln is primed for getting burned.

There are several Republican challengers, many with the qualifications necessary to represent Arkansas well in Washington. But a closer examination of the histories and positions brings one candidate to the forefront.

Arkansas State Senator Jim Holt is a true conservative. He ran for U.S. Senate against Blanche Lincoln in 2004 when she was not vulnerable and garnered 44 percent of the vote. Holt was an outspoken critic of Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee the issue of providing benefits to illegal immigration. Holt has opposed tax increases and minimum wage increases in Arkansas.

For these reasons, RSC endorses Jim Holt for the U.S. Senate Republican primary election.

Holt is indeed the only true conservative and that includes Boozman (who isn't officially in the race yet as of this post). I think that Blanche Lincoln is going down and the people of Arkansas will send Jim Holt to Arkansas.

Thank you for your comment. I have no doubt that John Boozman is a good man. However, we need someone in Washington who will boldly stand for conservative principles and that person is Jim Holt.

When it was announced on the radio that Jim was running again I about fell out of my chair. But of course that would be very bad for me nonetheless the thought of a rematch between Jim and Blanch again was bittersweet.

Bitter in the sense the National Party did not fully support Jim or give him the credit he deserved as a true conservative as they proclaimed to be.

Sweet because now the people are waking up and understanding what true conservatism represents and the current ideology in power today most people are making clear choices between the two.

The way I see it, there are two types of representatives. Those that represent self interest, and those that represent the people’s interest. What do we have today? Only you can decide.

All I know is when ever I wanted to speak with Jim in the past about an issue. If he could, he did speak with me. And I am nobody, just one of the people not a special interest.

And Jim was with us the people before it was Cool Man.
