Response To A Liberal

I seriously enjoyed reading this comment on my previous post so I wanted to respond to it.

I love Ted Kennedy said...

Wow. I scanned through your posts and one thing kept leaping out at me: NOBODY reads your blog. Well, except for "D. Roman" who clearly just wants you to link to his blog. I guess your brand of politics is just over. How does it feel to be in the minority? Again. Get used to it, rightwingnut. Liberals have taken over America again. Even your boy Giuliani is pro-gay rights, pro-choice, and loves him some immigrants. It just must suck to be a Republican right now. But hang in there: 2008 is coming... and it's only going to get worse for you. Say it with me: President Hillary Clinton. Ahhh, that felt good. Let's do it again: President Hillary Clinton. First Gentleman William Jefferson Clinton. Has a nice ring to it. Sucker.

You would be surprised to know how many people read this blog. Some of them are high-level elected officials. The reason I don't get very many comments is because once I have thoroughly covered an issue, there isn't anything substantive left to say.

Sorry, but my brand of politics will NEVER be over because it makes up the backbone of this country. The majority of America is conservative, regardless of what the liberal dominated media says. And it crosses ALL socioeconomic classes. Liberals are nothing more than a loud, obnoxious minority that whines every time they don't get their way.

In Washington, conservatives are in the minority, but that won't last long. Once the conservative backbone of America sees what unfettered liberalism is doing to America, be prepared for a house-cleaning in Washington. Example - the illegal immigration amnesty bill.

I agree with you about Rudy. He is way to liberal on social issues. As a matter of fact, I can't think of one Republican that is currently running who I would vote for. Yes, it must suck to be a Republican right now. But I'm not a Republican. I'm a conservative and there is a huge difference.

If Hillary gets elected, I will be at peace knowing that positive change is coming soon. She won't get a second term. The American people won't stand for it. And Bill Clinton, "First Gentleman"? Now there's an oxymoron if I've ever heard one. You should never use the name Bill Clinton and the word "gentleman" in the same sentence. Unless maybe it was "gentleman's club".

I know that you are a true liberal. Rather than present a well-framed position on a issue, you merely resorted to generalities and name-calling. That's a liberal's MO. Plus, who else would admit to liking Ted Kennedy?

Well said. And why isn't there one liberal blog reader capable of providing an intelligent and articulate comment? All I get are "Your an idiot" (sic) and the like.

As far as "No Republican you would vote for"... What opinion do you have of Huckabee? As a conservative, I think he would be a great fit!

Steven, thanks for your comment. Being from Arkansas I am quite familiar with Mike Huckabee. We've met on a few occasions and I helped him campaign for governor in this part of the state.

If you lined up all the presidential candidates and asked me to order them from "nicest guy" to "least nice guy", Mike Huckabee would be #1. He is a wonderful person and I believe he is sincere.

My problem is his liberal views on taxes and big government. During his administration, our tax rates skyrocketed. Read this: Huckabee's Tax Record. Keep in mind, our previous governor was Bill Clinton. (excluding the short reign of Jim Guy Tucker).

Mike Huckabee is not what I would call a conservative. He does have a few conservative positions but too many are moderate or liberal.

First of all to our liberal commentor, we have more than enough links to our blog. We do quite well for ourselves.

While I could not disagree with Red State Conservative more on Gov. Huckabee I will not bore you with why those taxes were raised since I am sure you have heard the truth and have just chosen to ignore it you do run a good conservative blog.

Thanks for actually updating your blog :). I see so many dead conservative blogs. I am trying to make a conservative digg alternative called GOP Hub (GOPHub.com). Anything you can do to help with this effort would be awesome. Plus feel free to submit any articles your write here on your blog :). Take care and have a great weekend!
