Bush Commutes Libby's Sentence
President Bush made the right decision today when he commuted the outrageous sentence of Scooter Libby. Of course, the Democrats are having a sound bite symphony with this one.
Scooter Libby was railroaded and made a scapegoat. His sentence was excessively harsh. Instead of being happy for Scooter Libby, the have politicized this to take shots at President Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney. Here are just a couple of examples:
"This commutation sends the clear signal that in this administration, cronyism and ideology trump competence and justice." - Hillary Clinton, Democratic Presidential Candidate
"Only a president clinically incapable of understanding that mistakes have consequences could take the action he did today. President Bush has just sent exactly the wrong signal to the country and the world." - John Edwards, Democratic Presidential Candidate
Compare that with this comment from former Sen. Fred Thompson:
"While for a long time I have urged a pardon for Scooter, I respect the president's decision. This will allow a good American, who has done a lot for his country, to resume his life."
There you have it. The ugly face of politics. I'm sure that those Democrats who are criticizing President Bush would run the most ethical administrations in history. Right Ms. Pelosi? They are above reproach. And Ms. Clinton, how do YOU spell "W-H-I-T-E-W-A-T-E-R"? If Bill Clinton would have been convicted when he committed perjury, rest assured that he would have been pardoned by Al Gore.

Wow. I scanned through your posts and one thing kept leaping out at me: NOBODY reads your blog. Well, except for "D. Roman" who clearly just wants you to link to his blog. I guess your brand of politics is just over. How does it feel to be in the minority? Again. Get used to it, rightwingnut. Liberals have taken over America again. Even your boy Giuliani is pro-gay rights, pro-choice, and loves him some immigrants. It just must suck to be a Republican right now. But hang in there: 2008 is coming... and it's only going to get worse for you. Say it with me: President Hillary Clinton. Ahhh, that felt good. Let's do it again: President Hillary Clinton. First Gentleman William Jefferson Clinton. Has a nice ring to it. Sucker.
