I sincerely appreciate your comments. I...Thank you. I sincerely appreciate your comments. I may have misunderstood something in your comment but I wanted to clarify my position. True peace does come from within but only when that emptiness is filled with a personal relationship with God. Some people may scoff at that but I've been a Christian most of my life and I can support my position with personal experience. The scoffers can't.Red State Conservativehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10740381219214926941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34716708.post-91438786130520040962009-05-13T04:39:00.000-05:002009-05-13T04:39:00.000-05:00Ramona L. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within.Yours is a nice blog.BRENT KRUEGERhttp://www.clickhappiness.com/elife-magazine/happiness.aspnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34716708.post-422821024058276172009-04-13T16:46:00.000-05:002009-04-13T16:46:00.000-05:00Sorry, but your comment makes absolutely no sense....Sorry, but your comment makes absolutely no sense. I never said the the Declaration of Independence was the law of the land.

Regarding the "authority of law" coming from the people through the Constitution, take a look at the things our government is doing now and tell me they have the Constitutional authority to do them. Our Constitution and our authority are being trampled on by the "supreme powers" that rule Washington and our state capitols.Red State Conservativehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10740381219214926941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34716708.post-10996192103532362552009-04-12T23:16:00.000-05:002009-04-12T23:16:00.000-05:00Methinks you confuse two very different documents:...Methinks you confuse two very different documents: The Declaration of Independence; and the Constitution of the United States.

"Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is from the Declaration of Independence and is not a "concept," in the sense it establishes the structure or guidelines of our Constitution. The phrase "life, liberty..." is part of our revolutionary manifesto, and as such, is not actually part of the law of the land. That law is the Constitution which establishes the authority of law as coming directly or indirectly from the people.

For someone claiming to establish a history lesson, it's time for YOU to actually read the documents. What a ridiculous rant!gavagainoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34716708.post-68168199781458338702008-10-09T07:35:00.000-05:002008-10-09T07:35:00.000-05:00So justly put.
